Two high school boys fall in love, then grow into adults as they deal with the aftermath of a sporting accident that leaves one of them a paraplegic. Their tale is told in San Francisco author Jim Provenzano’s novels Every Time I Think of You, which won a Lambda Literary Award in the Gay Romance category, and its sequel, Message of Love, a finalist this year for the same award. On this week’s Out in the Bay, Jim reads from the books, speaks with host Eric Jansen about themes in his novels and shares stories from his life and career as a sports and entertainment writer. Airs 7pm Thursday, May 14, at kalw.org + 91.7fm SF Bay Area.
On Jim Provenzano’s blog page, you’ll find info about his books and similar works. His books are available on Amazon and at many bookstores.
